Giovanni Battista Palmieri
Tenor      

Giovanni Battista Palmieri, tenor, was born in 1962 and began his musical and violin studies early in life. At the age of 16, he began studying voice, perfecting his technique with Giorgio Favaretto and Gianni Raimondi. Mr. Palmieri has won numerous competitions, including the Concorso Internazionale di Musica da Camera of Bardolino, the Concorso Internazionale di Canto C.Coccia of Novara, and the Concorso Internazionale di Canto - Maria Callas of Venice, to name a few. His numerous operatic appearences, amongst many others, have included roles in Macbeth, Madame Butterfly, Carmen, Aida, La Boheme, Rigoletto, Tosca, and Un Ballo in Maschera. He has appeared in major halls throughout Europe and Japan, and has recorded for the La Nuova Era and Opera Discovery labels.
